With local elections coming up, do you know what your candidates position is on energy.
We sent an e-mail to some of SC Legislators and asked these questions on Thur. May 22, 2008:To better understand how you will view and vote on legislation in the next term, please answer these questions about renewable energy for South Carolina.
1) Do you believe that some of our energy should be produced by the renewable sources?
2) Will you support a bill that requires all of the utilities in South Carolina to get 12.5 percent of their energy from renewable sources such as solar by 2020?
3) Will you support a bill that requires all of the utilities in South Carolina to allow "true net metering"?
4) Do you support the proposed Pee Dee coal plant?
5) Do you think that the people of South Carolina should have the right to build and own a zero-energy-home?
We would be pleased to hear from you on these questions and will post the answers here.
